What is PST®?
PST® (Philos Surface Treatment Technology) is a patented diffusion-based metal surface treatment. Titanium (Ti) and nitrogen (N) are diffused into the material of tool steels, forming a deep, homogeneous diffusion zone with exceptional hardness and durability.
Unlike conventional nitriding or PVD coatings, PST® is not an applied layer but diffusion zone, with the same thermal expansion coefficient as the matrix material making it highly resistant to thermal cycling and mechanical stress.
Tool Life Extension
PST® significantly increases the lifespan of molds and dies, reducing maintenance and replacement costs. Depending on the application, tool life can be extended up to 10 times compared to conventional treatments.
